CONCEPT OF THE INSTALLATION
It is in a small space that is slightly dimly lit. The installation consists of a model of the central part of Moscow lying on a podium where one can see all the various regions of the city center—the boulevard ring and the central streets, but most importantly the Kremlin with its towers and high walls. But in the center of the Kremlin, instead of buildings, lies an enormous sack made of thick cloth that takes up the entire space right up to the walls. This sack is stationary, but it is as though it were constantly breathing slowly, that is, inflating to its full size and then deflating and wrinkling up. The breathing of this enormous body—that, judging by the size of the model, is most likely of some sort of weird and terrible monster—is accompanied by the sound of his breathing, a raspy inhaling and exhaling. The viewer is presented with an enumeration of associations that this breathing sack evokes.
